Membership Application Process

  1. NGVFC Application – Download, complete, and email to membership@ngvfc.org or bring in person to meet us at 7pm on Tuesdays at the station.
  2. Albemarle County Volunteer Application – Fill out the online county volunteer application.
  3. Get to know us, and let us get to know you.  Two members must sponsor your application to have it taken to the membership for consideration.
  4. Join us at one of our business meetings, on the first Tuesday of each month, 7pm at the station, so you can be introduced to the membership.  Your application for membership will be considered and voted on by the membership at the following business meeting.
  5. County-paid physical examinations and background checks are required for all new members.
  6. Once a member, you may then enroll for upcoming FireFighter-1, Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) and/or Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) training classes at no cost to you.
